At the end of the 19th century, séances were a common practice, although apparently opposed by the Catholic Church, this practice was nevertheless accepted because it showed the existence of life after death and confirmed the importance of praying to the deceased.
Spiritualism became meaningful for the noble and wealthy families and its greatest interpreter was the architect Giuseppe Maffei.
The tragic death of Amalia Fasciotti, the young wife of Senator Federico Rosazza Pistolet, and the premature death of his daughter Ida at 17, got him to find interest in spiritualism.
After subscribing to the magazine “Gli annali dello spiritualismo”, he met the spiritualist Giuseppe Maffei, drawing teacher of his daughter Ida, who changed his life forever, especially when he took up a spiritual journey with him, buying a package of 300 sĂ©ances.
In one of these first sessions, he was surprised to be contacted by his daughter Ida, by his father Vitale and other well-known characters who guided him while building the new Masonic Rosazza (a church-temple, a monumental cemetery, talking statues and fountains, a castle, a town-hall), as well as monuments in favor of the Biella community.

You will travel in a secret Rosazza, a village in Valle Cervo, walking among symbols and esoteric messages and you will discover the life and works of one of the most mysterious characters of Italy: the Freemason and Senator of the Kingdom Federico Rosazza Pistolet.
You will witness ancient legends, messages sent by spirits, plots and revolts that saw Senator Rosazza and his architect and spiritualist friend Giuseppe Maffei as protagonists.
You will travel in the Italian Rennes-le-Chateau, along an initiatory path and a secret doctrine to understand the true face of Freemasonry and Spiritualism. Mysterious skulls, thornless roses, the Holy Grail, Mary Magdalene, hidden compasses, swastikas and talking fountains are just some of the secrets that will lead you to see Rosazza with new eyes.
The esoteric tour includes a visit to the Church, the discovery of the enigmatic Via Pulcra with an all-seeing eye and the funerary aedicules with Masonic symbols in the monumental cemetery of Rosazza, the walk along the Cervo stream up to the Ghibelline Tower, the Rose fountain and the birthplace of Federico Rosazza Pistolet.
The visit ends in the park where esoteric symbols refer to Hermes, the goddess Vesta and to the cult of Horus, the celestial god of ancient Egyptian mythology, as well as to the most important constellations of the northern skies.
